The Club
Westwood Tennis Club and Westwood Lake Lodge are located ten minutes from Nanaimo on the shores of Westwood Lake at the base of Mount Benson on Vancouver Island. In addition to tennis you can enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, sail boarding and adjoining chip trail around Westwood Lake. Westwood's clubhouse features a large deck upon which you can relax after a game of tennis and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. Westwood Tennis Club provides a number of membership options to suit your needs including out of town memberships which are half the cost of a regular membership. Westwood Tennis Club currently has over 300 members of all ages and playing ability. |

Facility
There are three hard courts (one lakeside) available for play outdoors year round in addition to four indoor hard courts which are housed in a tennis bubble year round. The clubhouse provides change rooms with showers, a fully licensed restaurant and lounge with service to our beautiful deck overlooking Westwood Lake (8am to midnight, seven days a week). There is a separate clubhouse for junior members. The attached lodge provides bed and breakfast accommodation for visiting guests which includes the use of the clubhouse and courts. |

Programs
Comprehensive instructional programs are offered by Head Pro, Gene Kelly and his assistants, including: junior and adult camps and clinics, small group, private and semi-private lessons, junior high performance and junior academy. Organized play at Westwood Tennis Club includes: mixed socials, women's and men's singles ladders, inter-club league teams for men, women and mixed doubles, round robins and club tournaments, sanctioned tournaments for juniors, seniors and open players, game arranging and special event organizing and catering. |
